Uniting Lupus Groups Around the World
Once again for World Lupus Day, the global lupus community united to make lupus visible by putting on purple, sharing their stories, reaching out to policymakers, sharing lupus facts and awareness shareables on social media, and lighting up buildings purple!
This year on May 10 for World Lupus Day, the World Lupus Federation is urging the global public, including those living with lupus, their friends and family members to raise awareness and share facts about the disease on social media and in their communities.

Prepare to help spread awareness about lupus by sharing key messages and facts on your social media channels to educate family, friends and more about the impact lupus has on millions of lives around the world by using the World Lupus Federation’s Lupus Awareness Toolkit.Â

Lupus often causes severe pain and overwhelming fatigue that interferes with activities of daily living. Isolation and depression resulting from lupus can be devastating. The emotional impact of lupus can be as devastating as the physical symptoms.
We are warriors -- determined to bring an end to the devastating impact of lupus. We will not quit until we secure a better quality of life for all people with lupus, their families, and future generations, so everyone can live well in a world without lupus.
The strategy this year was to focus on the physical, economic, social and psychological burdens of lupus.
